Welcome to the Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists (LNWC) web site. We are a chapter of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation (NCWF) - a community based organization established for the purposes of environmental education, appreciation of wildlife and natural history, and conservation of wildlife habitat and natural resources. 

  
  Vision Statement

“The Vision of the Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists is to protect and enhance the natural resources and wildlife habitats of the greater Lake Norman area, for all to enjoy.”

  Next Educational Program

Our next free educational nature program "Wildlife Babies---When Do They Need Rescue?" will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012, 7:00 PM at the Mooresville Public Library. To find out more about this program click HERE, email us at info@lakenormanwildlife.org or call 704-877-4788.

Volunteers Needed

On April 21, in celebration of Earth Day 2012, LNWC needs your help in planting Buttonbush plants along selected island, shoreline, and wetland complexes to help with our Island and Shoreline Habitat Program. For more information or to volunteer for this program click HERE.


New Youth Activities Committee

The Lake Norman Wildlife Conservationists has formed a new committee to develop activities, outings, and events that connect youth to nature and wildlife in the Lake Norman area. To find out more about this program email us at info@lakenormanwildlife.org.
